I WOULD BE MORMON FOR ORSON SCOTT CARD
I am in freaking love with Orson Scott Card. After my initial reluctance to read his books (due in large part to being obstinately against whatever Peter was worshipping that month) I started reading The Seventh Son. After I finished off what there is of that series in record breaking time, I decided to take a break from his literary greatness. Then, at the Humboldt Public Library, I felt the gnawing ache to read him again. I chose Ender's Game and was not disappointed. The book was effing great and so was its sequel Speaker for the Dead.
I am currently reading Artemis Fowl: The Time Paradox by Eoin Colfer. Not similar reading at all, but still awesome nonetheless. After I finish that book though, I am going directly to Xenocide, the continuance of the Ender quartet. Card amazes me, mostly because I can get into his books that are sci-fi, even though most science fiction novels bore me to tears.
I want Orson Scott Card's lovechild.
The end.

DO YOU STILL GET INTO SANDWICHES IN A BIG WAY?
So, Trevor recently got me into this Folk Parody duo, Flight of the Conchords. They are hilarious. Also, I fucking love their Kiwi accents. New Zealand produces beautiful musicians, I found while surfing the Last.fm. Goldenhorse, Jonathan Coulton, and Evermore are prime examples. They briefly made me think of moving there. However, I think I am still headed for Iceland, birthplace of Bjork. It is the most developed country in the world, you know.
In anycase, check out Jenny, it is my personal fave.
Brian: "...We talked about how the lights from the buildings and cars seemed like reflections from the stars that shine out so pretty and bright, that night..."
Jenny: "It was daytime."
Brian: "....the daytime of the night!"
Jenny: "Do you remember what you said to me?"
Brian: "Not word for word, actually, Jenny...but I remember there was some verbs."
ps. I want Jermaine's body.

DERRRR
Okay, so am officially moving back to the Humboldt on Sunday. Rod and Deanna, being the overconfident people that they are, scheduled me already. I am supposed to work on Monday at 6:30am. Welcome back to Humboldt, I guess. So yeah. I also think it's funny that Rod was unaware of the fact that I never worked or even been trained for CS before in my life. He was all like, "Oh, really?"
Derrrr.
In other news, my last day at KFC/LongJohn Silvers was Monday. My uncle Matt(not knowing I worked there) came in with his fugly girlfriend and proceeded to order food without acknowledging that it was,in fact, his niece taking his order. I finally was like, "Are you serious? Do you honestly not recognize me???" At which point he takes a closer look and is like, "Well, you look kinda familiar...oh...yeah" Yeah, thanx a heap Cyote Ugly, I feel really special now. My own uncle did not recognize me.
That is all the news I have for now, other than that today is pay-day, and I am looking forward to cashing my check. Also, I am hungry.
Fin.
